Abiquiu White Barrel Tumbler

$56.00

This cup is slipped with an iron-bearing kaolin clay gathered from Abiquiu, NM, which in its raw state is off-white with veins of ochre-yellow. It exists in a single 3” vein of clay within a much larger deposit of Mancos Shale black clay. This particular clay often yields a palette of purple, blue, orange, and red when fired in the wood kiln and reduction cooled.
