This plate is slipped with a streambed clay gathered from Regina, NM, which in its raw state carries a gorgeous combination of different clays in colors of ochre, green, purple, and tan. Due to its varied components this particular clay creates a beautiful emerald ash glaze when the kiln’s ash lands on it during the 5-day firing process.
